Ken possesses over 28 years of extensive experience in Information Technology and Cybersecurity. Since April 2023, he has served as the Deputy Director and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the California Student Aid Commission. With a commendable 17-year career in state service, Ken initiated his public service journey at the California Department of Pesticide Regulation.

His leadership trajectory includes pivotal roles such as the CIO for the California Department of Aging and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the Financial Information System of California (FI$Cal). Throughout his career, Ken has consistently demonstrated a proven track record of success, contributing significantly to the advancement of cybersecurity and technology within the Commission.

Ken’s wealth of experience extends beyond technical expertise; he has a passion for building well-organized, high-functioning teams of IT professionals dedicated to fulfilling departmental and IT branch missions.
